Congratulations!!
So, if the idea of a ‘one size fits all’ ceremony, conducted by a stranger in a suit doesn’t appeal to you, then consider enlisting the services of a Celebrant for your wedding day.
In the light of the recent revelation from the Duke & Duchess of Sussex that they had 2 ceremonies, then what’s stopping you?
Owing to the fact that Celebrants cannot carry out the legal part of your marriage, you will need to do exactly that – have 2 ceremonies. Until the law changes – and it’s currently under review, so watch this space! – we can create and conduct beautiful bespoke ceremonies that are all about you – personal, meaningful, memorable, emotional. Separating the two parts doesn’t need to worry you as Susan will guide you through this process with what to do and when.
But what it does mean is that you have complete control over what you do, what you say, where you say it, and what’s included. You have no restrictions when choosing a celebrant, so relax and enjoy every moment. All the legals will have been completed a day or two before, so your guests can relax with a glass of bubbly before the ceremony, and you relax because you know that the Celebrant isn’t rushing off to conduct the next ceremony – Celebrants devote the whole day to you and are there step by step, fast becoming a friend as they guide you from the moment of booking, to the moment they are waiting for you at the top of the aisle. A friendly face instead of someone you’ve never met before. You can include meaningful symbolic elements too, so there is much to discuss at your first in person meeting. 😊
It’s one special day – but it’s just a big expensive party without the ceremony. So, wouldn’t you rather choose those hugely significant vows you are going to make? You don’t need to tell your guests you did the ‘legals’ on Thursday afternoon in jeans and a T-shirt, because they won’t know if you choose not to say anything. You still exchange those very personal vows and rings at your celebrant wedding because there is no requirement to do this at the register office.
If you’d like an informal chat to find out more about how it all works, then please get in touch and we can arrange a call so you can ask all your questions.
That very special time should be for you to say what you want to say, not what you’re told to say – that part can be done quickly and inexpensively, with 2 witnesses sworn to secrecy of course! 😊
I’d love to hear from you, so do get in touch!
