Later that week (after the ceremony in Conwy) I attended another awards dinner, this time in Stratford at Macdonald Alveston.
I was nominated for an award by fellow celebrants and the dinner was combined with belated Christmas FOIC (Fellowship of Independent Celebrants) celebrations. It was a very sparkly affair, with everyone in their Sunday best.
I didn’t win on this occasion, but it was fab to catch up with my colleagues, and me and my husband extended our stay in Stratford until the weekend – an opportunity for a short break in this lovely town.
